🏆 CLIO Silver Award for Innovation (2017)
From 2016-2017 I ran an Incubator for MillerCoors, testing more than a dozen ways of using emerging technology to engage consumers. For example, we worked with the popular VR game Sports Bar to include MillerCoors brands organically into the play space. We also partnered with Drizly to enable purchasing beefing via Alexa and a custom-engineered Amazon Dash button, discounts delivered via Roku’s connected TV platform, and organizing group orders via Slack and Facebook Messenger. The standout project from the Incubator was Sounds of the City, which used Shazam data to showcase hyper-local listening trends on digital out-of-home displays across New York City, which won a Silver CLIO for Innovation.
In 2018-2019, I ran an Incubator for Mini Cooper, resulting in two projects to make it out of early testing: a retail activation with our partners at B8ta, and the world’s first augmented reality ad in Google search results. The B8ta partnership revealed crucial data about how potential buyers interacted with a car, immediately informing how Mini merchandised vehicles in dealerships around the world.
