Turning Data into Strategy

One of the breakthrough products I developed at the IPG Media Lab, Futurecaster allowed us to identify which emerging technologies were actually being used by a brand’s target consumers. In partnership with Dynata, our proprietary consumer research was merged into IPG’s Axciom data stack, providing a deep understanding of how new technologies and media platforms were being used across demographics. Combined with rich sentiment data, this allowed us to guide brands like American Express, Charles Schwab, Sony Pictures, Nintendo, and over 100 others towards the channels that we knew would work, and away from those that wouldn’t, resulting in a 500% increase in innovation investment across the portfolio over the next 5 years.
